Universal Mechanics – the Craftmen of the 19th Century

At about the end of the 18th century a new profession on the science of surgery came into existence within the centers of this crafts, the specialized “surgical-instrument maker”.

Only later in the new 19th century, this new profession won a widespread acknowledgement as an independent branch of industry with its greatest intention.

Later it has been focusing on surgical-mechanics companies.
